Cassie's Rose, hand sculpted glass torchwork paperweight by Vermont glass artist Chris Sherwin--SOLD!

While the Animal glass sculpture and Memorial Pieces make up the bulk of production time, Chris makes time for Floral paperweights as time and creativity allow....This beautiful example of the traditional round paperweight, is named "Cassie's Rose" after his daughter.  It features prominent veined pink petals and leaves, with a large millefiori center cane over a white/blue optic star background, encased in Clear glass, hand-shaped, approximately 2 1/2" tall x 3" diameter. "One-off" paperweight, featuring contemporary  California-style torchworking techniques Chris learned honing his skills at Orient & Flume Art Glass, Chris has only made 3 or 4 of this style weight over the years. each is a One of a kind.
