Happy New Year

Jan 8th 2020

Happy New Year everyone.  Thanks so much for all your love and support over the past 15 years since I moved home and started Sherwin Art Glass. We wouldn't be here without you!  I am working a bit on the website and hope to have that a little more "findable" & accessible, hopefully finding some time to continue working on some new paperweight designs, as well as filling out my normal (mostly animal sculpture and memorial pieces) production.  I have had many requests for add'l animal offerings (most notably: Turtles, Elephants, Cats/Dogs, and other birds--working on add'l Owl and Chicken offerings, as well as honing the Bald Eagle), so we'll see where that all leads.  I will also start offering some work directly, in auction format, on my FaceBoook Page, I will start with some Best Sellers and see it is successful.  I have been offering some paperweights, in limited offerings, on a Paperweight specific FB auction site, but didn't want to leave anyone out so I will be offering them up periodically on my SAG business page and we will see how it goes.....if you are interested, please let me know by bidding and winning, and I will be open to featuring the items of mine that you want to see "up for grabs".  Stay Tuned for my first offering coming soon (probably Winter related......cute....round....with a face, and probably a Hat...most likely "melting" ;^) )! Please visit the website for upcoming shows, Tours, and new list of galleries that are showing my work.

This past year offered a mix of real highs and lows.....I had some great Paperweight related travel opportunities (Dearborn, MI and Texas here in the US, and first ever trip to England/Scotland/Wales in the UK......) to speak to & visit with new/old friends regarding my career path in glass; they were a lot of fun--thanks to everyone who made those trips possible.....As many of you know, I was also in a horrific head-on Car accident in September up in Canada that I was extremely fortunate to survive!  That set me back a bit with Fall/Winter production and Sales, but I am very fortunate to have my wonderfully supportive friends and family and am pretty much all back on track now, and ready to start again in 2020!

Thanks again for all your support and know that I appreciate each and every one of you. I wish you all the best in the upcoming year!  Peace, Chris
